A prostrate species with bright blue flowers and finer leaves. Add leaves fresh or dried, sparingly to a wide range of meat dishes, especially lamb and pork. The flower spikes attract bees from far and wide. Use fresh flowers to toss in salads or crystallize for a garnish. Use leaf in potpourri or lay sprigs amongst linen.
